Snow?

While most of the country is anxiously awaiting spring and warmer temps our house can't wait to see a few more powdery flakes. We are probably the only people who are excited for snow in March. This is what we expect to get between Sunday night and Monday morning. Wonder if they will cancel school again....Remember in January they canceled school here because of the threat of snow...Only in the south. Mother Nature - Bring on the snow!!

It's A Boy!

Our 19 week old baby is officially a boy. Now my eldest son can sleep more peacefully at night knowing he will no longer be outnumbered. Actually, we are ALL very excited. Baby boy looks healthy too. Life is good.

Suzy Snowflake Comes to South Carolina

It snowed this morning! School was canceled (yes, I know I laughed too) and my children thought they were in snow heaven. Livvy and Amelia have never seen snow, and Caleb hasn't seen snow since he was three. It was quite an exciting and unusual day. It could be several years before any snow will fall in this part of the country again. Livy was so excited to put her snow clothes to use. I could not convince her that they go on top of her clothes, she very stubbornly told me, "no THESE are the clothes, the snow clothes".

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Spencer, Sarah, Caleb, Amelia, and Olivia all wish a heartfelt Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our friends and family everywhere! We have had ourselves a very merry and joyful Christmas time with each other and are grateful to be home together to celebrate and play for longer than last year. The song and pictures and presentation syle above illustrate the Christmas time longing and emotions for my family that I experienced last year while in Afghanistan hoping desperately to be home with my family in time for Christmas. We pray the the Christmas spirit will fill your hearts and that the Lord's blessings will be upon all of you during the coming year.

Announcing... The newest Baby Packer

Okay, so this isn't really my baby, but the ultrasound pictures don't show anything but a fuzzy little peanut. And although it seems slightly insane to want 4 children our little family just didn't feel complete without her. Yes, my best guess is a girl. We are all so excited and preparing for the very long wait until the fourth of July. (I am really hoping for end of June, but...) I wasn't planning on telling the children, or anyone for that matter until Christmas but I am so fat that people at the gym were beginning to ask questions. I suppose that by the 6th pregnancy, you can't hide it for very long.

Thanksgiving

We had a very fun Thanksgiving. The children decided to wear costumes this year. They were so excited. Everyone did their part for the Thanksgiving feast. We spent the day eating, playing football, and thanking the Lord for our many blessings. Most of all... grateful to be together as a family.

How did so much time pass? Here are some pictures from Halloween. We had fun carving pumpkins, going trick or treating, going to paries and all the usual Halloween fun.
