Today is Sunday which means it is my designated post day. But I don't have anything noteworthy to say, so just my rambling thoughts will have to do. Last Sunday when I was looking for Mother's day pictures I came across this picture of me and my Grandpa. I have been thinking a lot about all of my grandparents and how much I enjoyed them growing up whether it was an apple party, a Thanksgiving sleepover, or just a Sunday visit. But what I didn't appreciate until I was much older was the life they lived. Growing up during the Great Depression then raising a family or getting married during WWII. So many changes happened during their lives, so much wisdom gained. I love you all, and look forward to spending precious time with my beautiful, talented, intelligent, and wise Grandmother who is still here with us. Thank you to an amazing generation who sacrificed so much for their posterity.

Sarah! You're not allowed to make me cry two posts in a row. I love that picture... sweet Grandpa. I miss all them and treasure the great lives they lived as well. I love the scripture in Helaman that says I have given you the names of our first parents... and this I have done that when you remember your names ye may remember them; and when ye remember them ye may remember their works... that they were good. Therefore...do that which is good, that it may be said of you...even as it has been said of them.
Their lives still help me in the decisions I make. More than once I have said to myself "If I did that and Grandma and Grandpa (and my parents) found out... I would be ashamed." So I chose something different. We have been born of goodly parents (and grandparents) indeed. Thanks for the beautiful post Sar.
Sarah and Jenn you make it hard to read through watering eyes. We all miss them. It seems the older we get the more we appreciate their sacrafices and regret, at least us boys do, the trouble we caused them. What great examples. Thank heavens we still have grandma Robison. What a blessing to come from such nobility.
That was such a sweet post. I loved it. Thanks for sharing.
You both look so happy in that picture. It's adorable.
